The eternal question that you hear so often from single people is, “I don’t know where to go to meet other nice single people…appropriate for me. I’m not a bar person, in fact, even if I was, I wouldn’t want to date someone I met in a bar.” A logical alternative happens to be a very well-thought out and successful, activity for singles between 40 and 60 years old that has been widely accepted in the Greater Boston area.

A subsidiary of a larger group, THE SINGLE EXECUTIVES CLUB, a monthly dining out event called SINGLES DINING OUT, which is the antithesis of the ‘hurry-up', speed dating concept.

This 90 -120 minute event, at an upscale local restaurant, begins with an informal cocktail social as attendees check in, then each person takes an assigned seat for dinner. Each person is seated with a person of the opposite sex on either side of them. Each person is given a name tag with a ID number on it.

For a total cost of $45, attendees receive a full four-course meal, tax & tip included. After each course, the men rotate to another assigned table to meet & converse with the next table of women. In addition to a wonderful dinner, attendees have a chance to participate in ‘SELECT-O-CUTION'. Each attendee is given a pen and registration card allowing them to record the ID number of any people they find interesting or attractive and who they’d like to talk to again.

After dinner, all cards are turned in, and most people reestablish contact in the lounge. All cards are matched and all attendees who want to meet someone again, their phone and emails are sent to the matching person.
